No, I am not going anywhere. But here is a big announcement everyone! You ready? đ„đ„đ„
For the last two weeks, I have been planning, choosing, executing, and working on migrating Dr. Green Economy from Substack to WordPress. This was something I wanted to do for a while.
What are the changes?
Name: Dr. Green Economy has been renamed The Green Solutions and thanks to all my close friends and families who chipped in to help me choose this name. I havenât changed the name yet on Substack but it will happen sometime by next Friday.
Logo:Â During this one and half year of writing, I have realized that my greatest strength and interest is data visualization and thatâs what I will continue to focus on. I have amended my logo slightly to represent The Green Solutions.
Platform:Â I am moving all my content to WordPress but I will still use Substack for the newsletter purpose for the time being.
Rebranding is a lot of work, especially migrating all the content from one platform to another, changing names and logos is a complete headache but I like The Green Solutions better. It is also very self-explanatory in a way that it says what the newsletter is all about.
I am planning to write a comparison post about Substack vs WordPress in three monthsâ looks more likely to happen during Christmas.
I hope to get the same support from you all as always because it doesnât matter which platform, in the end, it's the same person behind and same subject matter đ.
And, hope we all get used to the new name soonerâ at least for me, it will take some time.
Have a great weekend and see you next Friday.
Exciting changes and love the new name. So glad youâre still keeping the newsletter over here, though!
Sad to see you moving to Wordpress. WP does allow for more customization, but I find it quite a pain to learn and maintain while having time to write. The new logo look great! I actually just tweaked Risk+Progress's logo and name as well, but the difference is small hardly anyone is going to notice. (Risk & Progress rolls off the tongue better)
